Adult Classes
Improve your balance, strength, and confidence in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
Adult dance classes are offered to adults age 18 and up on a drop-in basis. You must register in advance to reserve your spot.
Class Information
Ballet for Adults – Lunch Hour Class (Advanced Beginner/Low Intermediate) – Thursdays 11:30am-12:30pm – $25 per drop-in
Enjoy the beauty of ballet and relieve some stress with a ballet barre, floor stretches, and center exercises. We’ll emphasize on the use of breath in creating movement and work on grace, poise, balance, strength and confidence in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
Tap for Adults (All Levels) – Saturdays 4:30-5:30pm – $25 per drop-in
Whether you are new to tap, returning after time away, or an experienced tapper, this class will be a fun way to experience the joy of tap dancing! We will focus on foundational tap technique, interpreting rhythm, and learn or refine steps within the context of choreography.
Theatre Dance for Adults (Advanced Intermediate) – Summer Saturdays only – $30 per drop-in
Continue to grow your artistry, fitness & flexibility in this class designed with adults with previous dance experience in mind. The class will combine past and contemporary theatre dance styles including jazz, modern, contemporary — both classic and commercial — with the spin of story-telling and character development through movement. We will begin with a technical center warm-up including strengthening exercises, balance and flexibility. Across the floor and center work will focus on musicality and artistic expression, while nurturing a collective environment of artisic growth through compassion & joy.
